About

Helen Watts (BSc, MSc) works in the areas of consumer psychology and occupational psychology. After completing her BSc Psychology (First Class Honours), Helen worked in Vancouver for a year. On return, Helen went on to complete her MSc in Occupational Psychology at Cardiff University. After this, she began her career in both consumer psychology and occupational psychology.

As a consumer psychologist, Helen was awarded a bursary to undertake a PhD focusing on customer retention in fitness clubs. More specifically, Helen's research includes an examination of both the physical and psychological factors underlying retention as part of the development and predictive validation of a customer retention model. This research is in collaboration with an external consultancy, WellWithin. Related to this, Helen is also a qualified fitness instructor and former physique competitor and has a personal interest in sports psychology.

As an Occupational Psychologist (OPiT), Helen also works for different consultancies on various projects, helping clients to improve their HR processes (selection and assessment, talent management, learning and development).
